If you currently serve on staff in a worship or media ministry, please join us at Prestonwood Baptist Church (Plano, TX) for The Retreat at Prestonwood! This retreat will allow you to connect with other worship and media leaders, expand your network, and enjoy a time of rest and reflection. Over these three days, you will hear from our team and a number of creative leaders as we discuss important topics such as your spiritual health, staff development, maintaining a healthy culture, NextGen and Adult choirs, worship planning, the creative process, and project management. We would love to host you at The Retreat at Prestonwood!

Registration Information

The Registration Cost for The Retreat at Prestonwood 2026 is $450 per person, and includes your registration fee, lodging, meals and any materials needed or distributed at the retreat. You will need to secure travel arrangements to/from Plano. Once you are in town, we will provide a shuttle to/from the hotel. The Registration Cost for those sharing a hotel room is $350 per person. For those commuting to The Retreat, the Registration Cost is $250 per person, and includes your registration fee, meals and any materials needed or distributed at the retreat.

For those who are local and do not require lodging, the total cost for the retreat is $200 per person, and includes your registration fee, meals and any materials needed or distributed at the retreat.

Extended Retreat Experience

This year we are offering an extended experience for retreat attendees who wish to stay for our Midweek Rehearsal on Wednesday evening. This experience will be an additional $60 per person (includes lunch, dinner and lodging Wednesday night) or $20 per person (lunch and dinner only).

Amber
Peairs

Amber Peairs has served in full-time worship ministry for more than 30 years as a worship pastor, vocal coach, speaker and mentor. With a degree in music, she is the founder of The Worship Life, an international ministry and training hub that equips and empowers worship pastors and teams with the tools they need to lead with clarity, excellence and kingdom impact. In addition to consulting with churches and mentoring leaders, Amber provides online content, courses and practical resources through The Worship Life Collective community. She is also a songwriter with five English albums and one Spanish album.

Andy
Chrisman

Andy Chrisman is a worship pastor, consultant, radio host and artist who has dedicated his life to helping others follow Jesus and worship God forever. He’s been a full-time worship pastor more than 20 years (most notably at Church on the Move in Tulsa, Oklahoma). He is also the host of the internationally syndicated radio show “Worship with Andy Chrisman” and the “1 Degree of Andy” podcast. And … he is a member of the musical group 4Him.

John Marc
Kohl

John Marc Kohl is a songwriter, artist and worship leader. From songwriting for artists, labels and churches to his own original music, he is passionate about making “Jesus songs” in the “Jesus way.” His first original worship record, “Still,” was released in 2022. He has led worship for Breakaway and The Porch, and is a worship minister at Citizens Church in Plano, Texas. John Marc also helps lead The Way of Worship, which aims to deepen the worship of the Church by discipling songwriters, worship leaders and creative communities in the way of Jesus through cohorts, retreats and pathways.

David
Marvin

David Marvin is the Teaching Pastor at Prestonwood Baptist Church, and previously he served on staff at Watermark Community Church in Dallas, where he helped lead The Porch – a weekly ministry to thousands of young adults. David is a graduate of Texas A&M University and Dallas Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Calli, have three children: Crew, Monroe and Bear. He has a passion for helping people understand how the Bible speaks to modern life and seeing Christ transform their lives.

Hayden
Browning

Hayden Browning serves as the Worship Director at Watermark Community Church in Dallas, Texas, and as the worship leader for The Porch, Watermark’s young adult ministry. He has been a part of Watermark for 12 years and has served in worship ministry for more than 15 years. Hayden is passionate about leading people to respond to the Gospel through singing, and equipping worship leaders and teams to serve the local church with faithfulness, humility and excellence.

Jon
Abel

Jon Abel serves as the Worship Pastor at Watermark Church in Dallas, Texas. A dynamic leader of the worship ministry, he leads the worship team for Watermark’s main campus services. Helping facilitate a connection between God and people through music has become one of the greatest joys and privileges of his life. 

Craig
Dunnagan

Craig Dunnagan has spent his life helping others encounter God through music, serving as a publisher, executive producer, and leader in the Christian music and worship music community. He has partnered with many churches, ministries and artists over the years, using his gifts to create worship experiences that encourage and equip the Church. He has been a VP of Music Publishing and Worship Resources at Worship Together and Integrity Music and is currently President of 403 Music, a music consulting, publishing and artist services company. 

Kris
Crunk

Kris Crunk is a multi-award-winning composer, producer, orchestrator, and music creator for film, television, trailers, immersive live productions and major commercial campaigns. An Emmy winner for his original song “Great New Day,” he has earned five Grammy nominations and two Dove Awards. He has collaborated with acclaimed artists including Lauren Daigle, Tina Campbell, the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Travis Cottrell, and TaRanda Greene. In 2025, he launched the Mountclear Jazz series, and his choral works are published by Hal Leonard and Choristers Guild.

Chris & Mary
Kuti

Chris Kuti is a seasoned worship pastor, songwriter and speaker, and is currently on the team at MultiTracks.com as the director of WHOLE.org – a leadership formation ecosystem dedicated to developing worship leaders who are spiritually rooted, pastorally grounded, and built for the long haul. Mary Kuti is a worship leader, writer and creative entrepreneur whose gift for authentic expression has shaped every room she’s been a part of.

Together, they have led worship across the country for nearly two decades, including nine years with Life.Church Worship, and most recently serving as Global Worship Pastors at Lakepointe Church. Their ministry has taken them from local church stages to national conferences, always carrying the same conviction: worship is formation, not performance.
